About Fair Winds Farm

Fair Winds Farm Panorama

In 2011, Fair Winds Farm has been a horse-powered family farm for 33 years!

Fair Winds Farm is a 42 acre diversified, horse powered, family operated farm. We work together with our horses, chickens, sheep, goats, turkeys, pigs and perennial and vegetable gardens to feed ourselves and our community.

Jay and Janet run the farm business with the help of many others, including: daughter Erica and family (Jason, Jonas and Margaret), son Reuben, and friends Mary-Diane, John and Joe. Through the participation of each of these minds and bodies, the farm evolves to suit its farmers. We thank each for their contributions and welcome you to come and visit.

In the fall of 2010, Jay and Janet's daughter, Rebekah, moved to Glover, VT with her kids Mayah & Evan. Fair Winds is no longer offering horse training services but Bekah is pleased to announce that she is working with Neal Perry at his farm in Brownington. Bekah and Neal offer a full range of horse training services, visit the Perry Farm website: www.nealperryfarm.com.
