A Typical Day At A Draft Horse Workshop

Our workshops are intended to help you gain experience working with horses under the supervision of an experienced teamster, whatever your level of experience.

Draft Horses

Workshops are limited to 6 participants to allow for individual attention. You will practice ground driving as well as driving vehicles and implements to give you a good handle on the fundamentals of driving.

Hern's Demo

Hands on experience is the best way to learn about working with horses, so we make sure that every workshop includes lots of time harnessing, hitching and driving a single horse and a team.

Hearty homemade meals feature food grown on our farm or purchased from our farming friends and neighbors. Don't forget to bring your appetite!

Breakfast

Learning how to handle the lines before they are attached to the horses is easier on everyone!
